I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off recently searching for new hosting. I have finally settled and have a 2 server setup, my paid hosting and my own server. As a result I had to move our bug tracker off the nclasssoftware.com domain and to bugr.org where it currently resides. So please report any bugs or feature requests there.

I would like to congratulate Dale on recently receiving an internship position on Apple’s Remote Desktop team. Dale is a very talented developer, he has written all of the scripts in Corripio along with designing the main icon. I know that he will be a great addition to the ARD project.

Good luck Dale!

As far as I can see iTunes <strike>7.1</strike> 7.2 has broken Corripio. Corripio uses Apple Events to communicate with iTunes, all of that seems to not be working… So I will start trying to figure out what the hell happened… Shakes fist at Apple…

Update: So after further digging, it seems to be that “Apple Events” are still intact, however the persistent IDs for the songs are overflowing (they were 64-bit already!). So it is not as bad as I thought, I hope to have a solution shortly.

After months of retooling, Corripio 0.7 has finally landed. There are many new features in this version. I have learned a lot from developing Corripio over the past year and a half. This release was focused on fixing the things I didn’t know in the beginning. 0.7 was a major re-write of the code base and a new jab at the UI.

The biggest feature that I am most excited about is the ability to add user generated scripts. This will add legs to Corripio by being able to evolve quickly to new sites and databases. If you make a script, send it to me and I’ll put it on the site.

Now i’m off to start on <a href="http://nclasssoftware.com/comments/accepted_into_gsoc/" title="Tabpos

I know it has been forever since there has been a Corripio release. I also know that I have been telling some of you it’s coming “soon.” Well now I can say that it will be here before the end of the month. I have been contemplating releasing a 0.6.1, however there are too many bugs in the 0.6 trunk that it is not worth it. Version 0.7 has been a complete overhaul of the codebase. This means stability and speed have improved drastically.

The biggest new feature is the ability to add any scripts to search for artwork and lyrics. These can be written in any language that the system supports, so Ruby, Python, Lua, PHP, ect. All the script has to do is take a command line argument like jeff@iMac$ ruby ~/artwork.rb The Beatles Abbey Road and return a string of newline delimitated image links or lyrics.

So if you are interested in testing go ahead and signup for notifications here or check out the latest builds.
